Overview

Sermorelin is the active first 29 amino acids of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone. It was approved in the United States for children with growth-hormone deficiency before the brand was discontinued.

This listing is Vita Science Sermorelin (GHRH 1–29) 2 mg (2 mg), photographed as we ship it and priced in Canadian dollars.

How it works

It stimulates the pituitary to release growth hormone in natural pulses, keeping the body’s feedback controls in place.

Clinical reference

The former Geref label for children used 30 micrograms per kilogram once a day at bedtime. There is no current Canadian label.

Reference information from product labels and clinical literature only. It is not a recommendation or dosing advice for you; any use should be set and monitored by a doctor.

Measuring calculator

Type the amount from your prescription or clinician; the calculator only converts it. It does not suggest how much to take.

Combinations and interactions

  • Raises IGF-1; relevant to diabetes medicines.
  • Glucocorticoids blunt its effect.

Risks and side effects

  • Sterility. Freeze-dried peptides must be reconstituted with sterile technique; contamination can cause abscesses.
  • Flushing and headache. Reported in clinical use.

Do not use it if you have active cancer or are pregnant.

Bloodwork to discuss with your doctor

  • IGF-1
  • Fasting glucose
  • Thyroid function

Injection sites

Sermorelin (GHRH 1–29) 2 mg is a freeze-dried powder. After it is mixed with bacteriostatic water it is normally injected under the skin with a short insulin needle. These are the three standard subcutaneous areas; rotate between them.

Why it is used. The most fat, steady absorption and easy to see.

Watch for. Move each injection a few centimetres from the last to prevent lumps.
