Overview

TZ-2 is an alternative listing of our dual GIP and GLP-1 research peptide, supplied in 5 mg and 10 mg vials.

This listing is Vita Science TZ-2 10 mg (10 mg), photographed as we ship it and priced in Canadian dollars.

How it works

Like other dual incretin agonists, it boosts meal-time insulin release, slows digestion and reduces appetite.

Clinical reference

The approved medicine in this class starts at 2.5 mg once a week, rising slowly to a maximum of 15 mg a week.

Reference information from product labels and clinical literature only. It is not a recommendation or dosing advice for you; any use should be set and monitored by a doctor.

Combinations and interactions

  • Do not combine with TZ5, TZ10 or other incretin products.
  • Low blood sugar risk with insulin or sulfonylureas.

Risks and side effects

  • Stomach effects. Nausea and vomiting, especially early on.
  • Pancreas and gallbladder. Known risks for this class.
  • Sterility. Freeze-dried peptides must be reconstituted with sterile technique; contamination can cause abscesses.

Do not use it if you are pregnant, have had pancreatitis, medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2.

Bloodwork to discuss with your doctor

  • Fasting glucose
  • Kidney function

Injection sites

TZ-2 10 mg is a freeze-dried powder. After it is mixed with bacteriostatic water it is normally injected under the skin with a short insulin needle. These are the three standard subcutaneous areas; rotate between them.

1AbdomenBelly · Fat under the skinSubQ

Finding it. Anywhere on the belly at least 5 cm from the navel, away from scars and the waistband. Pinch a fold and inject into it.

Why it is used. The most fat, steady absorption and easy to see.

Watch for. Move each injection a few centimetres from the last to prevent lumps.

2ThighFront of the thigh · Fat under the skinSubQ

Finding it. The middle of the front of the thigh, a hand-width below the hip and above the knee.

Why it is used. Easy to reach and a good rotation partner for the belly.

Watch for. Absorption can be a little slower than the abdomen.
